Our Pre-Completion Inspections (PCI) are an essential service designed to ensure that your new home is up to the quality standards you expect before legal completion.

This service aligns with the New Homes Quality Code set by the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB), allowing home buyers to arrange a thorough home inspection prior to the finalizing of the purchase.

Our qualified inspectors meticulously evaluate every aspect of your new property, verifying that all work has been completed satisfactorily, and any issues are appropriately rectified.

Who are the NHQB?

The New Homes Quality Board (NHQB) is an independent non-profit organisation that has set out the New Homes Quality Code (NHQC). This is a framework for developers to work to when building new homes. From its introduction in 2022 home buyers have been able to arrange a home inspection prior to legal completion.

PCI Limitations

NHQB Inspections are limited to those required by the NHQB guidelines. It is not possible under the scheme to provide additional services. Home owners may want to consider our traditional snagging inspection which checks the home at greater detail post legal completion.

Re-Inspection

Re inspection services are available, however in order to keep costs down to home buyer we ensure reports are written in an easy to read manner… so buyers can re inspect themselves.

When builder has confirmed all works are complete a re inspection includes full second inspection and checking of previously recorded snags have been completed satisfactorily and checking that new ones have not developed during the process.
